Chef Laura

Vendor Story

At Chef Laura, we believe that food is the bonding element of people! We are inspired by the impact that food has on lifestyle, relationships and wellbeing. We have created a product line that includes provisions that are staples for individuals, families and friends.

By creating our product line, it connects us with people in their kitchens on a more week-to-week basis. Most aspire to improve their skills in the kitchen, by creating meals that are easy to make and taste great. Our products elevate your meals and up your game in the kitchen! By using our products, we can certainly help.

As a small business, it is critical to support other small businesses. We all need each other and we try to buy as many local products as possible. We use fruit from the Okanogan and local farms whenever possible. Although some of our spices are imported, we use local suppliers. By purchasing locally and seasonally, we can achieve the farm-to-table concept despite striving for long shelf life. Ultimately, we are reducing the waste that ends up in landfills.

While our products are processed rather than fresh to maintain long shelf life, the steps before hand using sustainability have been practiced. Sustainability has always been an essential part of my personal and business practices. By recycling, reducing, composting, and using packaging that is as environmentally friendly as possible, we try to be conscious of the environment. This is of utmost importance to us.

It has always been important to us to give back to the community. In the past, we have donated food to local charities including women’s shelters and feeding those less fortunate. In the future, I would love to engage with youth helping them to recognize the power of good taste, nutrition and food. A community-based small business is definitely a philosophical approach to connecting and working hand-in-hand with those around you. Truly farm to table, means that we are minimizing the distance food travels and reducing packaging and waste.

Our priority is still to create a fabulous relationship with food taste and lifestyle, we still want our customers to experience something unique that is of high quality and customized care. We have created culinary gifts that are a pleasure to give and a joy to receive.
